Buying sheets – is rather a difficult task that can put us to confusion.

Most of us like soft wrinkle-free sheets, but only few of us pay attention to the texture, of the fabric of which the sheets are made, and how they look like. Sheets are available in a wide range that abounds with a great variety of fabrics, colors, patterns and textures. There are a lot of moments, on which you should pay attention before buying sheets. So, here is a list of what you should take into account:

1. The first thing to check – is the fabric of which the sheet is made. For this purpose, find out the length of the article. The longer the article – the stronger it is and it has a higher percentage of cotton. Sheets of fabric with another structure are also have some advantages. Thus, the combination of cotton and polyester means that the bed sheet will not be easy to wrinkle. Also such sheets are cheaper than cotton.

2. If the softness of the fabric is a priority for you, than opt for cotton sheets. There are different kinds of cotton, for example, organic, Pima cotton, Egyptian cotton and Supima cotton. Every kind offers a certain level of comfort from using sheets, but the quality of the sheet is defined by the quantity of vertical and horizontal threads. The more the quantity, the softer the fabric.

3. Sheets of different types of cotton are known as easily wrinkled, also they’re not able to take up moisture and don’t leak out air as good as cotton sheets do. They are cheaper than calico sheets and it’s also known that their cost is justified as they can withstand numerous washes.

4. Try to find out the features of weave of threads in fabric as it defines the strength of the sheet. Satin sheets have simple weave of threads. Such sheets are softer others, but they are less strong. Sheets with a compound weave of threads are not so soft as satin, but after washing they soften.

5. They use different technologies of production, and the sense of touch to produced by one or another methodology sheets are different. The most widely-spread sheets are of jersey, shaggy, flannel and crushed. Rudimentary knowledge about every technology will hell you to avoid common mistakes in choice of the bed sheet for a certain season.

6. If you’re apt to allergy, there are some sheets that prevent allergy and, consequently guarantee a sound sleep. There are a lot of different companies that manufacture such sheets (usually they are classified as hypoallergic sheets).
